About MeMy name is Miss Dearing and I am so excited to be teaching sixth grade English and Literature again this year! I will also be teaching two religion classes (one sixth grade and one fifth grade). This is my second year of teaching at St. Barnabas.
I grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and attended Saint Barnabas Catholic School from kindergarten to eighth grade. I then went on to Roncalli High School and graduated in 2012. I received my Bachelor's degree with honors in elementary and special education at Ball State University. At Ball State, I was very involved in Ball State University Dance Marathon, a fundraiser for Riley Hospital for Children. I am continuing to stay involved in this organization as an alumni by planning our annual gala for the kids. I will also be coaching a fifth and sixth grade girl's basketball team again this fall, go Warriors! Additionally, I am serving as the library manager for St. Barnabas this year so I am looking forward to getting more books for our school library and motivating students to read independently. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and staying active. If you have any questions or would like to know more about me, please do not hesitate to ask! I can not wait to get to know all of my students and create an engaging and motivational learning environment for them. |
